Job summary

PE Global is seeking a Graduate Lab Analyst for a leading multinational Biotech client based in Dublin. This is a 6-month contract position. The role involves performing analytical tests, maintaining records, and supporting high-throughput lab operations using LIMS and automated equipment.

Candidates should have an honors degree in science and strong MS Office/Excel skills. Induction training is provided, with emphasis on ISO 9001/17025 compliance, safety, and collaborative SOP development.

Qualifications

• Honors degree in science or equivalent required.
• Induction training provided by Laboratory Manager or Deputy Laboratory Manager.
• Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills and ability to learn complex software.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete analytical tests, examinations and procedures.
• Diligently complete quality records.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain instrumentation and operate corrective actions as needed.
• Sample collection, preparation, stock control and maintenance while conducting tests.
• Program and operate robotic and automated lab equipment in high-throughput environments.
• Troubleshoot process problems and record key information for future analysis.
• Training of new personnel.
• Contribute to SOP reviews and development.
• Knowledge of DNA extraction, PCR and genotyping.

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Graduate Lab Analyst for a leading multi-national Biotech client based in Dublin.

This is an initial 6-month contract position.

ROLE:

• Accurately complete assigned analytical tests, examinations and procedures.
• Diligently complete all necessary quality records
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by performing tasks in an organised and consistent fashion
• Maintain instrumentation and operate corrective actions if needed.
• Sample collection, equipment calibration, solution preparation, stock control and general maintenance while conducting analytical testing methods
• Program and operate robotic and automated lab equipment in high-throughput deadline environment
• Troubleshoot process problems and record key information to aid in future analysis
• Training of new personnel
• Take part in review and development of SOPs
• Knowledge of molecular biology: DNA extraction,PCR and Genotyping
• Utilize and operate LIMS, multiple proprietary databases, and specialized software and apps
• Be proactive and discuss possible improvements
• Ability of working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to time manage/complete several different tasks simultaneously.
• Performing such other technical duties as may be assigned by the Laboratory Manager or Deputy Laboratory Manager
• Participate in such further training as stipulated by the Laboratory Manager or Deputy Laboratory Manager
• Adhere to Health and Safety policy
• Adhere to ISO 9001/17025 requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Honors Degree (Level 8) in Science or Equivalent
• Will receive internal induction training, as specified by the Laboratory Manager or Deputy Laboratory Manager.
• Proficient in MS Office with strong MS Excel skills and strong computer skills; ability to learn complex software
