Dexcom Ireland is hiring for a Receiving Inspection QC Inspector 2 position to support the startup of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. You will inspect incoming components, prepare RI reports, and work with Quality Engineers to resolve issues.

The role is onsite with GMP and safety compliance expected. The successful candidate has 2–4 years in medical devices, strong teamwork, and proficiency with inspection tools like Smartscope and Keyence, with a shift pattern to cover

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 6 in Quality, Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–4 years’ experience in the medical device industry.
• Experience with inspection equipment (Smartscope, Keyence) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections, check testing and sampling for incoming components and products to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Prepare and update receiving inspection report forms and ensure paperwork is accurate.
• Record RI transactions in the defined system.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers and other functions on issues related to materials or tests.
• Monitor equipment and instrumentation to ensure safe operation.
• Adhere to GMP, safety guidelines and company standards at all times.
• Assist in setup of the Receiving Inspection Dept. and RI Lab.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This role follows a fixed (non‑rotational) evening shift pattern: Monday–Thursday from 3:30 pm to midnights and Friday from 2:30 pm to 10pm

Meet The Team

Our Receiving Inspection Department within our Quality Assurance team are looking for a dynamic and skilled QC Inspector 2 (Onsite role) to support the start-up of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. As a member of the Receiving Inspection team, the inspector is responsible for ensuring the activities related to the inspection functions are performed in a manner which meets company standards and methods as determined by the Quality Assurance or other Engineering departments.

Where You Come In:

• - You will perform inspections, check testing and sampling procedures for incoming components, materials, sub-assemblies and products to ensure conformance to specified requirements in accordance with material specification, drawing and Quality Assurance standards.
• - You will prepare, record, and update receiving inspection report forms and ensure all paperwork contains accurate and legible information.
• - You will perform transactions related to RI Materials in a defined system.
• - You will work closely with Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers and other functions on any material, equipment or test-related issues that arise.
• - You will monitor equipment and instrumentation to ensure there are no issues, and equipment is safe to use.
• - You will adhere to all GMP, safety guidelines and company standards at all times.
• - You will be part of the team involved in the setup of the Receiving Inspection Dept. and associated RI Lab.
• - You will assume and perform other duties as assigned

What Makes You Successful:

• - You can demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and written and verbal communication skills
• - You are proficient in the use of inspection Equipment and tools (Smartscope, Keyence, etc.)
• - You must be able to flex to work in different shifts to meet demand.
• - Proficiency with statistical analysis (e.g. Minitab) and Microsoft Office Products is desirable

Experience & Education Requirements:

• - You have a minimum Level 6 in Quality, Engineering or a related discipline.
• - You have a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience within the medical device industry.

The annualised base salary for this position is from €32,130.00 to €41,580.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
