Job summary

A leading multinational engineering services company is seeking an Electrical QC Inspector to join their renewable energy team in Charleville, Cork. The ideal candidate will have a NCC Level 6 electrical qualification and experience in the electrical construction industry. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark solar project while enjoying a hybrid working model of up to 2-3 days per week from home.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience working in the electrical construction industry preferred.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Good technical capabilities and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement onsite inspection test plans.
  • Conduct inspections of civil, mechanical and electrical installations.
  • Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.

Electrical QC Inspector

Scope of Work: A new role within this growing renewable energy team that will work closely with the design, commercial and site functions to ensure the successful delivery of a landmark solar project in Co. Cork.

Turner Lovell is recruiting a QC Inspector to join a leading, highly innovative, multi-national engineering services company in Ireland. This is a brilliant opportunity for the right individual to join a well established, highly regarded business that is experiencing growth through their success in the market. You will be working on site in Charleville, Cork with a hybrid working model available of up to 2-3 days per week working from home depending on site requirements.

With the support or the wider team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and implementing all onsite inspection test plans.
  • Carrying out onsite inspections of civil, mechanical and electrical installations with a high level of details.
  • Preparing method statements and risk assessments.
  • Monitoring progress against the program and issuing progress reports.
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.
  • Complying with specific project safety requirements; Ensuring compliance with ISO, NSAI, design standards and client requirements.
  • Approve detailed design covering all aspects of high, medium & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems.

The ideal profile is someone with:

  • NCC Level 6 electrical minimum.
  • 2+ years' experience working in the electrical construction industry (desirable).
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Good technical capabilities, teamwork abilities and initiative.
  • Strong written, oral and numeracy skills.
