Job summary

McDermott Laboratories Limited, part of Viatris, is seeking a QC Analyst to support analysis of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products. The role focuses on reviewing analytical data, performing peer reviews and transferring methods, with responsibility for instrument qualification and training teammates.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science and at least two years in a laboratory environment, with experience in raw material testing and method transfer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Laboratory Environment.
• Experience in Raw material/Release testing.
• Experience in Method Transfer/Verification desirable.
• Experience with Dry Powder Inhaler testing would be an advantage.
• Experience with HPLC/UPLC.
• Must have effective problem solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel/Word.

Responsibilities

• Analyze raw materials, in process and finished products.
• Review analytical data, reports and perform peer reviews.
• Perform analytical method transfers and compendia verifications.
• Conduct instrument qualification, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Generate protocols – method verification/transfer.
• Participate in non-routine/complex projects.
• Provide training for team members.
• Follow all relevant SOPs and site policies.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• The analysis of raw materials, in process and finished products
• Reviewing analytical data, analytical reports and performing peer reviews
• Performing analytical method transfers and compendia verifications
• Instrument qualification, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Protocol generation– method verification/transfer
• Partaking in non-routine/complex projects
• Providing training for team members
• Following all relevant Standard Operating procedures
• Ensuring strict adherence to site policies, GMP and environmental, health and safety regulations

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree

• Experience in Raw material/Release testing
• Experience in Method Transfer/Verification desirable
