Job summary

LSC, Life Science Consultants is seeking a QC Analyst for a 4–6 month contract in Dublin with a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and delivering innovative medicines.

The role involves updating SOPs, routine data analysis, OOS investigations, batch release support, instrument qualification, and troubleshooting. A BSc in Biochemistry or related field and 1–2 years of relevant experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Minimum BSc in Biochemistry or related discipline.
• Ability to work independently and recognise anomalies in data.

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating and issuing documentation (SOPs) as required.
• Perform routine data analysis and investigate OOS results; write investigation reports.
• Accurately document laboratory work and methods.
• Support batch release testing, technical transfer and co-validation activities.
• Assist with qualification of laboratory instruments.
• Perform instrument performance checks and calibration.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation as needed.

ABOUT THE PROJECT - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in updating and issuing documentation, including SOPs, as required.
• Performing routine data analysis, assist in the investigation of OOS results, perform trending analysis and writing investigation reports.
• Accurately documenting laboratory work.
• Execute and assist in batch release testing, technical transfer and co-validation activities.
• Assisting with qualification of laboratory instruments.
• Perform instrument performance checks and calibration.
• Assist with troubleshooting of instrumentation.

ABOUT YOU - ARE YOUR SKILLS A MATCH?

• One to two years' experience in the following analytical techniques would be an advantage: Aseptic Techniques, Cell Culture, Cell-based Bioassays and ELISA.
• The ideal candidate should hold a minimum of a BSc. in Biochemistry or related discipline.
• The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to work independently in assay execution and recognize anomalous trends or results.
