Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an experienced QA Engineering Lead to support SAP SuccessFactors. This hybrid role requires hands‑on QA leadership across testing governance, data validation, and automation, with a focus on Python, SQL and Databricks.

You will guide QA strategy, lead a team of QA Engineers, and collaborate with global technology and business teams to ensure release readiness and high-quality software. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent.
• 7+ years in application, database and automation testing with leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading QA teams and complex programmes.
• Strong SQL, Python and Databricks skills.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and QA governance.

Responsibilities

• Own QA strategy and testing governance for the SAP SuccessFactors implementation.
• Lead QA Engineers and provide direction on testing approach and coverage.
• Develop test plans across application, UI/UX, automation, DB and ETL.
• Review requirements to identify testable conditions, risks and acceptance criteria.
• Provide senior stakeholders with assessments on quality risk and release readiness.
• Define and track test scenarios in Jira and manage defects through resolution.
• Drive continuous QA process improvements and automation practices.
• Oversee end‑to‑end data testing across extraction, transformation and loading.
