Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Associate Director / Project Director to lead and grow the Public Sector Project Management business in Ireland. The role focuses on delivering capital projects in healthcare, education, social housing, and government sectors, with governance, strategy, and delivery leadership from inception to handover.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, maintain client relationships, and contribute to bids and growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Chartered professional with 10+ years' industry experience, including at least 5 years post-chartership.
• Extensive experience leading public-sector capital projects across healthcare, education, social housing, government, or related sectors.
• Proven track record delivering complex construction projects from inception through planning, procurement, construction, and handover.
• Strong understanding of Irish public-sector procurement, governance frameworks, Public Works Contracts (CWMF), and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of public-sector capital projects and programmes.
• Establish and maintain robust project governance, reporting, assurance, and controls.
• Oversee project delivery across lifecycle: Business Case, Design Development, Planning, Procurement, Construction, and Handover.
• Develop client relationships and secure new public-sector commissions.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and advise on procurement, contract administration, and risk management.
