The Fleet Hotel in Dublin is seeking a part-time Public Area Assistant to keep lobby and public spaces clean, safe and welcoming for guests. This role works closely with the team and supports guest satisfaction.

The Public Area Assistant is an important part-time role that works closely with the team.
The Fleet Hotel is a wonderful boutique style Hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Café, much loved by Dubliner’s for decades. The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley’s Café which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner’s for generations.
The Public Area Assistant is responsible for ensuring that public spaces within a facility are clean, safe, and presentable for staff and residents. This role is essential in maintaining the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards of the Hotel.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and corridors.
Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
Empty trash bins and replace liners.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and doors.
Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department.
Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
Maintain a safe and hazard-free environment by promptly addressing spills and other potential dangers.
Monitor public areas for any security concerns or suspicious activities and report them to security or management.
Provide assistance and information to guests when needed.
Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints related to cleanliness.
Collaborate with other cleaning staff to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of all public areas.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year’s experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel setting and will be available to work 3–4 days per week on morning shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
