General Job Description:

We are looking for dedicated and highly motivated candidates who possess high levels of competency and can demonstrate their qualifications and experience in meeting regulatory requirements and best practice standards. Understanding the varied needs of each individual is crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and work in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to enhance treatment outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring continuous care throughout the treatment process.
  • Conduct therapeutic interventions and offer emotional support to Residents and their families, fostering recovery and wellness.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning sessions to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of Residents assessments, interventions, and progress notes in line with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)
  • At least 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably in an approved Mental Health Centre or community mental health setting.
  • Experience in clinical assessments and adequate therapeutic skills with a solid understanding of mental health disorders and therapeutic approaches.
  • Driving License is desirable.
  • Legal right to work in Ireland without restriction
