Job summary

Air Liquide in Ireland is seeking an experienced Technician to join the team on Intel site, responsible for start up and maintenance of high-purity gas and chemical delivery systems. This 12-month fixed-term contract covers field rounds, safety checks, troubleshooting, and equipment changeouts.

The role emphasizes project leadership, training of Levels I–V technicians, and close collaboration with customers to ensure safe, compliant operations and timely project completion on site.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in a technical field is preferred.
  • 5+ years semiconductor, chemical or specialty gas or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to follow/give both written and verbal instructions.
  • Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment, act as a mentor to all junior technicians.
  • Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy, including product acceptance criteria, tank fill, inventory and material usage, monitoring, safety parameters and personnel requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate and supervise a group of technicians on a project.
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude.
  • Display aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem solving actions.
  • Able to understand and abide by stringent safety rules.
  • Demonstrate ability to train junior technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the installation, facilitation, and start-up of all high purity gas and/or chemical delivery equipment.
  • Start-up and operate liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
  • Acts as the primary customer Project interface.
  • Coordinate/oversee Project technician activities.
  • Perform advanced gas/chemical troubleshooting and repair of delivery equipment.
  • Perform daily rounds including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder changeouts.
  • Verifies that daily rounds are recorded. Determines corrective action to be taken in event of abnormal parameters and ensures that corrective action is taken.
  • Provide information for and initiate proper reporting procedures per on-site policies including, but not limited to: Quality Incident Reports, product acceptance, tank fill, inventory and material usage, bulk gas analysis, analyzer calibration, monitoring, safety parameters, and personnel requirements.
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of gas/chemical related semiconductor-manufacturing problems.
  • Restart all high purity gas and/or chemical delivery equipment.
  • Facilitate all customer and Air Liquide programs including, but not limited to: Safety, Training, Commissioning.
  • Train TGCM Tech Level I, II, III, IV, & V employees.
  • Develop and maintain applicable site-specific work instructions.
  • Complete assigned tasks as per existing procedure.
  • Performs minor analytical procedures and/or sampling procedures.
  • Accountable for the safety of all persons, and the general public surrounding the facility.
  • Demonstrate ability to train junior technicians.

Job description

Air Liquide is currently searching for an experienced Technician to join the team and be responsible for start up and maintenance of equipment on our client (Intel) site.

This role is on a 12 month fixed term contract.

  • Equipment & Operations Management: Oversee the installation, commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting of high-purity gas and chemical delivery systems. Perform daily rounds, safety inspections, minor analytical sampling, and cylinder/tote changeouts.
  • Project & Team Leadership: Act as the primary customer interface for projects, supervise technician activities, train Levels I–V techs, and step in as acting manager when needed.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce all HS&E standards (PPE, LOTO, Confined Space) and take full accountability for facility, public, and team safety.
  • Reporting & Process Improvement: Maintain site-specific work instructions, track inventory and usage, initiate quality and safety incident reports, and assist in resolving semiconductor manufacturing issues.
  • Professional Development: Complete TGCM Tech Level V local OJT requirements within 12 months.

  • Train TGCM Tech Level I, II, III, IV, & V employees.
  • Develop and maintain applicable site-specific work instructions.
  • Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry, etc.
  • Supervise on-site operations in absence of Manager.
  • Generate site-specific reports and consolidate data as requested by Management.
  • Complete assigned tasks as per existing procedure.
