Job summary

AIB is seeking a Compliance Manager, Level 4, to lead the Prudential Advisory function within Regulatory Compliance in Dublin. The role focuses on financial prudential regulations, engaging with 1LOD/2LOD and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple risk areas.

Key duties include independent policy review, gap analyses, and advisory on regulatory requirements. Strong communication and self-starting ownership are essential for success in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding and experience in banking regulations, directives, standards and guidelines.
• Understanding and experience of key banking products and banking strategy in regulatory context.
• Proven experience or knowledge of 2LOD Regulatory Compliance in financial services.
• At least five years’ experience in financial services, banking institutions, regulatory body, business consulting, legal or ESG.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven teamwork with senior stakeholders.
• Self-starter who can work independently and request assistance when needed.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery and development of a comprehensive proactive second line regulatory compliance plan.
• Undertaking a risk based advisory role that challenges senior management and influences decisions.
• Forming an opinion on prudential regulatory control environment and risk horizon.
• Support Compliance senior management and report to relevant Fora and Committees.
• Provide timely risk appropriate advice to the business and embed regulatory awareness.
