EGIS Rail have a newly created position for a Systems Integration Manager that will be involved in various Rail projects. One of our biggest projects at present is the Cork Area Commuter Rail Programme. This project focuses on the Rail signalling and communications improvements which will facilitate the planned increases in rail capacity and service frequency, bolster the signalling system's reliability, and support Iarnród Éireann's continued safe operation of the railway.

This means we now offer our clients a full end-to-end service, from idea to design to operation. In rail, our Irish team is well established, having designed Dublin's first Luas (tram). Egis is a leader in rail across the globe; in fact, we're currently involved in two out of every three active light rail projects in the world. We're involved in the metro in Riyadh, in Thessaloniki, the Grand Paris Express, and HS2 in the UK. We have over 20 active projects in Ireland this year, including several high-profile rail projects like the Dublin Luas extension and Cork.

Job description

  1. Coordinating with all team members to update the schedules and different reports for different projects whenever required, minimum of once a week.
  2. Creating a checklist as per the client's and internal team members' comments and addressing all of them in the programme. Also, sharing the checklist with all to finally keep everyone on the same information plane.
  3. Assisting the Project Manager concerning Project Management (scheduling, reporting, interfacing, deadlines, risks, etc.) on a weekly basis to ensure projects run as planned timelines and budget.
  4. Creating and risk analysing the schedules as per dependencies and benefits for projects by studying the Critical Path and informing the same to the team.
  5. Working with the areas of the project team to plan, analyse and manage project information on behalf of the various stakeholders involved throughout all the stages of the projects.
  6. Working as a team coordinator engaged with Project Manager and Project senior engineers to manage team requirements and maintain Client expectations.
  7. Creating & presenting regular schedules and reports as required by the Project Manager, Project Teams, and Clients.
  8. Creating Tender Schedules for upcoming projects whenever required.
  9. Producing and managing programs and different trackers for multiple projects from initiation to execution enhancing business values across different delivery dimensions.
  10. Estimating timescales, monitoring progress, reviewing updates of schedules, and analysing data to identify trends and threats so that further teams can work on solutions regularly.
  11. Ensuring all additional works (variations) are incorporated & impacted in the schedules respecting the deadlines.
  12. Resource loading the project and tracking the same accordingly to keep every responsible resource informed regarding their deadlines.
  13. Cross-checking our approach with the client's schedule if required to keep both schedules streamlined.
  14. Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on the project programme.
  15. Supporting the production of monthly reports on key areas such as progress reports, critical path, milestones, P6 reports, etc.
  16. Programme planning in accordance with IE PMP- Project Scheduling Procedure.
  17. Monitoring the programme and tracking, recording and predicting out-turn programme dates.
  18. Preparing a cost and resource-loaded programme that will be the integrated project work plan and programme. Accruals and Prepayments schedules to be updated monthly.

Profile

  1. 3rd level qualification in relevant engineering/construction subject.
  2. 5+ years' experience / demonstrable ability to develop and implement project schedules/plans and to monitor and control work programmes. Experience of railway-related projects is an advantage.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software, Microsoft Office tools - Excellent report writing skills. Experience and familiarity with Time Chainage programmes are an advantage.
  4. Time management is essential to satisfy the demands of a busy schedule. Ability to manage multiple projects working across several design teams both local and remote.
