Job summary

Harper Finley Professional Recruitment is assisting in finding a Project Manager for wastewater infrastructure projects. The role will support the Wastewater Projects Manager, coordinating planning, mobilisation, and delivery across multiple sites in the Southeast and Midlands.

You will lead project planning, monitor performance against programme and budget, and ensure compliance with Irish and UK wastewater standards while building strong client and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Project Management, Delivery Management, Construction Management, or similar role within the water/wastewater sector.
• Strong water and wastewater experience - essential
• Experience delivering wastewater infrastructure projects, ideally including network upgrades and/or wastewater treatment works
• Experience working on Uisce Éireann infrastructure projects highly desirable
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs, scope, and programme
• Full clean driving licence - essential

Responsibilities

• Support the Wastewater Projects Manager in delivering multiple wastewater infrastructure projects
• Lead and coordinate projects from planning to completion
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, programmes, and resource-loaded schedules
• Monitor project performance against programme, scope, quality, and commercial requirements
• Identify and resolve issues relating to performance, scope, cost, resources, and scheduling
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, departments, and third-party providers
• Prepare and communicate regular project reports and progress updates for internal management and clients
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project status, progress, risks, and key issues
• Support contract administration and commercial management throughout project delivery
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant Irish and UK water and wastewater standards
• Provide leadership and support to project teams throughout the construction phase
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards

Responsibilities

• Support the Wastewater Projects Manager in the successful delivery of multiple wastewater infrastructure projects
• Provide operational and technical support to Site Supervisors, Engineers, and wider project teams
• Lead and coordinate projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion
• Review the constructability of wastewater design solutions and identify potential delivery issues
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, programmes, and resource-loaded schedules
• Monitor project performance against programme, scope, quality, and commercial requirements
• Identify and resolve issues relating to performance, scope, cost, resources, and scheduling
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, client representatives, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, departments, and third-party providers
• Prepare and communicate regular project reports and progress updates for internal management and clients
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project status, progress, risks, and key issues

Requirements

• Experience delivering wastewater infrastructure projects, ideally including network upgrades and/or wastewater treatment works
• Experience working on Uisce Éireann infrastructure projects highly desirable
• Strong understanding of construction delivery and project coordination
• Experience working with Site Supervisors, Engineers, subcontractors, clients, and wider project teams
• Relevant academic or technical qualification desirable
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs, scope, and programme
• Confident and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Full clean driving licence - essential
