Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Manager to lead planning and design for transport projects in Ireland. The role involves overseeing road, rail, public transport and active travel schemes, with exposure to statutory processes and contract administration.

Based in Dublin or Dundalk, you will work within a collaborative Transportation team. The ideal candidate has a consultancy track record, an engineering degree (Level 8/9) and Chartered Engineer status, with strong knowledge of design standards

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
• Educated to an engineering degree level (Level 8/9).
• Chartered Engineer status or eligibility.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and practical, buildable designs.
• Experience managing transport schemes (Ireland preferred) from feasibility to construction.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams and projects.
• Proven ability to lead to budget and programme, controlling costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead management, planning and design of road, rail, public transport and active travel projects across Ireland.
• Contribute to statutory processes (EIAR, CPO) and procurement.
• Prepare contract documents and administer contracts.
• Supervise construction and manage project commercial aspects.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.

We are seeking a Project Manager with relevant experience in planning and design of transport projects. The candidate will join our growing Transportation business and will be based in our Dublin or Dundalk office. The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard working, flexible, willing to take on responsibility and comfortable working as part of a team.

Your role

• The role will involve the management, planning and design of road, rail, public transport and active travel projects throughout Ireland, input to statutory processes (EIAR, CPO etc), procurement processes, preparation of contract documents, contract administration, construction supervision and commercial management.

About you

• Relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
• Educated to degree level in engineering (Level 8/9).
• Chartered Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of relevant design standard and ability to translate this knowledge into practical, buildable and value for money designs.
• Experience inthe management,planning and design oftransportationschemes (preferably in Ireland) including feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, statutory processes, preparation of contract documents, contact administrationof Public Works and/or NEC Contracts,construction supervisionand commercial management.
• Experience in managing multi-disciplinary design teams and projects.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and work to a budget and programme, to control costs and manage change control processes.
