Avonmore Electrical Co. Ltd in North Cork seeks a project engineer to oversee engineering projects across industrial and water sectors. You will build strong customer relationships and deliver high‑quality projects and services.

The role focuses on cross‑department collaboration, budgeting, site assessments, tendering, and value‑driven performance, with opportunities for professional growth within a family‑owned engineering company.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a project engineering role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven track record in project leadership, process optimisation, and maintenance best practices.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with hands‑on experience using ERP systems to support data‑driven decision‑making.

Responsabilités

• Manage and coordinate engineering and maintenance projects from concept to completion, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Develop project budgets, forecast revenues, and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Carry out detailed site assessments to define scope, risks, and requirements, and prepare accurate budgets and proposals for submission.
• Prepare, review, and execute tender documentation, quotations, and commercial proposals. Act as the primary point of contact for customers, clearly defining the scope of work and providing regular updates throughout project delivery.
• Ensure all procurement activities are planned, ordered, and tracked in line with project timelines and budgets.
• Visit customer sites to support tendering and business development activities, promote service offerings, and identify opportunities.

The successful candidate will work within our Engineering Department and play a pivotal role in overseeing engineering projects across the industrial and water industries. A strong emphasis is placed on your ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver high-quality projects and services.
