Job summary

Ward Personnel is recruiting for a Project Manager to deliver a high-profile €15m education project in South Dublin. You will lead from mobilisation to handover, running programmes, coordinating site teams, and ensuring safety, quality and budget adherence in a live school environment.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in main contracting, BIM experience, strong stakeholder skills, and professional membership.

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years’ experience in a Project Management role within main contracting.
  • Proven track record delivering projects valued in excess of €10m.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, construction methodologies and health & safety requirements.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent programme management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercially aware with strong contract administration capabilities.
  • Previous experience delivering education, healthcare, public sector or large-scale extension projects.
  • Experience working in live operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of BIM-enabled construction projects.
  • Chartered status or professional membership (CIOB, Engineers Ireland, SCSI or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project from mobilisation to final handover.
  • Develop and manage project programmes to ensure key milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate site management teams, subcontractors and specialist trades.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts and resource allocation.
  • Manage client, consultant and stakeholder communications.
  • Chair project meetings and provide regular progress reports.
  • Drive quality assurance processes and ensure works are completed to specification.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure successful delivery within a live educational environment with minimal disruption to school operations.

About the Opportunity

Ward Personnel is partnering with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor to appoint an experienced Project Manager for the delivery of a high-profile €15 million secondary school extension project in South Dublin.

This is an opportunity to lead a significant education development from site commencement through to successful handover, working within a live school environment and supported by one of Ireland’s most established construction teams.

The successful Project Manager will play a key leadership role, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the planning, coordination and successful execution of the project, while maintaining strong relationships with the client, design team, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
