Job summary

Exyte is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical packages on a major data centre project in Finland. You will own the delivery of critical electrical systems and work within a fast-paced, international project environment.

You will coordinate with mechanical, controls and commissioning teams, manage subcontractors, review design information, and drive solutions to keep the programme, safety and quality on track.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering electrical packages on large-scale construction or engineering projects.
• Experience in data centres or mission-critical environments is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and critical power systems.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors and coordinating interfaces.
• Experience taking electrical systems through installation, testing, energisation and handover.
• Strong understanding of programme, quality, safety and project controls.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international project environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of major electrical packages across the project.
• Overseeing HV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators and busbar.
• Managing specialist electrical subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinating electrical works with mechanical, CSA, controls and commissioning teams.
• Reviewing design information and identifying constructability and coordination issues.
• Monitoring progress against the project programme and driving solutions where challenges arise.
• Managing technical queries, RFIs, change and electrical package risks.
• Supporting procurement and delivery of long-lead electrical equipment.
• Working closely with Commissioning teams throughout testing, energisation and final handover.
• Building strong relationships with the client, consultants, subcontractors and wider project team.

• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and critical power systems.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Experience taking electrical systems through installation, testing, energisation, commissioning and handover.
• Strong understanding of programme, quality, safety and project controls.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• A degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, international project environment.
