Job summary

ABB Ireland is seeking a Service Project Manager to lead the execution of medium-size electrification service projects. You will ensure activities align with procedures, regulations, standards and targets, while supporting a hybrid work model from the Dublin office.

You will manage cross-functional teams, monitor progress, budgeting, risks and documentation to deliver projects that meet customer expectations and safety standards. Strong communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of direct project management experience delivering MV and/or LV products or projects within electrification.
• Strong ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, stakeholders and risk across complex projects.
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams and contractors through the project lifecycle and close-out phase by defining and executing the project plan.
• Monitor and control project progress, resource utilization and project financials to deliver within budget and schedule.
• Identify and manage project risks while pursuing opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, method statements, risk assessments, drawings and handover documentation.
• Communicate with customers proactively and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

• Work model:Hybrid from our Dublin office

• Leading cross-functional teams and contractors through the project lifecycle and close-out phase by defining and executing the project plan.

• Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and projectfinancials, ensuring delivery within agreed budget and schedule.

• Identifyingandmanaging project risks, while ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.

• Developing and maintainingproject documentation,method statement, risk assessment,drawings, technical database and preparinghandoverdocumentation.

• Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

• Buildingand maintainingstrong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a contact point for customerinquiries and an escalation point for project issues

• Ensuringcompliance with HSE and Quality standards throughout project execution. Identifyingand recommendingimprovements to processes and procedures.

Qualifications for the Role

• You have a minimum of5 years ofdirect project managementexperiencedelivering Medium Voltage (MV) and/or Low Voltage (LV) products or projects within the electrificationindustry.

• You arehighly skilled in project management methodologies with a demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, stakeholders and risk across complex projects.

• You hold adegree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.

• You arehighly adept in electrical engineering principles, with strong technical understanding of MV/LV switchgear, power distribution systems and associated electrification services.

• You arepassionate about customer satisfaction and stakeholder management, and innovative around continuous improvement and finding solutions in complex, fast-moving project environments.

• You areat ease communicating in English, with strong written and verbal skills to engage confidently with internal teams, subcontractors and external customers.

• You have a fullIrishdrivinglicenseand the right to work inIreland.
