Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate engineering activities across assigned projects.
• Provide technical support to the Project Manager and Site Management team.
• Review project drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensure works are constructed in accordance with approved designs and standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client representatives.
• Manage technical queries, RFIs and engineering issues through to resolution.
• Carry out site inspections and monitor works for quality and compliance.
• Assist with project planning, programming and sequencing of works.
• Monitor progress against programme and report on engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate setting out and ensure accurate dimensional control across the project.
• Assist with procurement and material requirements.
• Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments and quality documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and engineering documentation.
• Support the implementation of health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

INFORM3 are recruiting for a Project Engineer/Civil Engineer with an established utilities and infrastructure contractor to work on a range of major projects across Kilkenny and Ireland.

The role would suit a Civil Engineer or Project Engineer with strong site-based experience who is looking to take on greater responsibility across project delivery. You’ll be involved in coordinating engineering activities, working with site teams and subcontractors, reviewing drawings and specifications, managing technical queries, monitoring progress and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

It’s a good opportunity for someone with a solid civils background who wants to develop further within project delivery and work on substantial infrastructure projects with an established contractor.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate engineering activities across assigned projects.

Project Engineer Specification:

• Degree/Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Site Engineer or similar engineering role.
• Strong experience within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of construction methods, specifications and engineering standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a practical approach to project delivery.
• Full driving licence.
• Relevant site and safety qualifications are advantageous.
