Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is seeking a Project Design Elec. Engineer to lead design projects in operational data centers, enhancing existing infrastructure and adding new services.

You will review submittals, interface with multiple engineering teams, and act as a subject matter expert across regions, including up to 25% travel. You will collaborate with AWS Infrastructure Services to ensure safety, reliability and cost-effective delivery while mentoring junior engineers and driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review design and equipment submittals for Data Centers in your region.
• Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
• Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions and act as a technical subject matter expert for your given discipline.
• Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover. Are detail and data oriented with familiarity with design/construction processes
• Have experience managing engineering projects and engineering consultants. Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design)

Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for various aspects of the data centers. You will mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers in your discipline. You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally, with up to 25% travel.

Basic Qualifications
