Job summary

DRA Consulting Engineers in Ireland seeks a Project Civil & Structural Engineer to join the Wexford team, delivering civil and structural design across residential, commercial, educational and infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on experience in design, project management and client engagement while receiving dedicated mentoring to progress toward Chartered Engineer status.

• Honours degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience in consulting engineering.
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Membership of Engineers Ireland or IStructE is desirable.
• Experience with Robot, Tedds, Causeway or similar design software.
• Project coordination or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Civil and structural design across a range of residential, commercial, educational, conservation and infrastructure projects.
• Project management and coordination from concept through delivery.
• Preparing engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.

About the Role

As a Project Civil & Structural Engineer, you'll work on a wide range of residential, commercial, educational, conservation and infrastructure projects while developing both your technical and project management expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

• Civil and structural engineering design across a variety of projects
• Project management and coordination from concept through delivery
• Preparing engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Using design software including Robot, Tedds and Causeway
• Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
• Managing project documentation and administration
• Supporting and mentoring graduate engineers and technicians
• Developing practical, efficient and innovative design solutions

What We're Looking For

• Honours Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• 2+ years' experience in consulting engineering
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ambition to achieve Chartered Engineer status
• Membership of Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Structural Engineers
• Experience with Robot, Tedds, Causeway or similar design software
• Project coordination or project management experience
• Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians
