LGC Clinical Diagnostics is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead New Product Development initiatives. You will drive market-ready diagnostic solutions from concept through launch, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines, budgets, and risks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or related field.
• Proven experience leading complex NPD programmes or projects in life sciences, medical devices or diagnostics.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
• Experience budgeting, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• PMP certification or equivalent is desirable.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain processes is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Jira.

Job Description

We’re recruiting for an experienced Programme Manager to lead New Product Development (NPD) initiative. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the development of innovative, market-ready diagnostic solutions from concept through to launch.

What you'll do:

• Develop and deliver end-to-end programme plans for complex NPD projects, aligned with strategic priorities
• Lead, encourage, and coordinate cross-functional teams to bring new products to market efficiently and effectively
• Manage timelines, resources, budgets, and collaborator expectations
• Coordinate the full product development lifecycle - from ideation to commercial launch
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the programme lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with internal and external collaborators, including customers and senior leadership
• Analyse market needs and customer feedback to inform product strategy
• Track key performance indicators and promote continuous improvement
• Deliver progress updates to senior management and cross-functional partners
• Champion clear, consistent communication across teams

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

• A degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or a related field
• 5-7+ years of experience in programme or project management, ideally in life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics or pharmaceuticals
• Proven success delivering complex, cross-functional projects or programmes
• Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.)
• Expertise in budgeting, risk management and collaborator engagement
• Outstanding leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• PMP certification or equivalent is desirable
• Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain processes is an advantage
• Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar
