Job summary

LGC Clinical Diagnostics is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead New Product Development initiatives, driving the creation of innovative diagnostic solutions from concept to launch. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and liaise with senior leadership to ensure successful market introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related area.
• 5–7+ years of programme or project management experience in life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics or pharma.
• Proven track record delivering complex cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end programme plans for complex NPD projects aligned with strategic priorities.
• Lead cross-functional teams to bring new products to market efficiently.

Job Description

We’re recruiting for an experienced Programme Manager to lead New Product Development (NPD) initiative. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the development of innovative, market-ready diagnostic solutions from concept through to launch.

What you'll do:

• Develop and deliver end-to-end programme plans for complex NPD projects, aligned with strategic priorities
• Lead, encourage, and coordinate cross-functional teams to bring new products to market efficiently and effectively
• Manage timelines, resources, budgets, and collaborator expectations
• Coordinate the full product development lifecycle — from ideation to commercial launch
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the programme lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with internal and external collaborators, including customers and senior leadership
• Analyse market needs and customer feedback to inform product strategy
• Track key performance indicators and promote continuous improvement
• Deliver progress updates to senior management and cross-functional partners
• Champion clear, consistent communication across teams

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

• A degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or a related field
• 5-7+ years of experience in programme or project management, ideally in life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics or pharmaceuticals
• Proven success delivering complex, cross-functional projects or programmes
• Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.)
• Expertise in budgeting, risk management and collaborator engagement
• Outstanding leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• PMP certification or equivalent is desirable
• Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain processes is an advantage
• Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar
