Job summary

A community service organization in Ireland is seeking individuals to assist members with varying physical and sensory impairments. No prior experience is necessary as training, including QQI Level 5, will be provided. Duties range from supporting daily activities to providing personal care and helping with transportation. Successful candidates will undergo Garda vetting and must be ready to assist during mealtime and outings.

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Description

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

• Assisting with service members with varying degrees of physical, sensory impairment of different ages.
• Assist with the delivery of services to members engaging in personal and activation programmes in the centre, to provide a pathway for people with physical disabilities to full participation within the community.
• Assisting with the day to day running of the centre, assisting with daily activities of arts and crafts and assisting with the safe transportation of the members to and from the centre.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Assisting at meal times.
• Assisting service members on annual holidays and outings.
• QQI Level 5 training and health and safety training will be provided.
• Garda Vetting required.
