Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is seeking an Assistant for Before School and After School care at Inch NS (and nearby areas). The role involves supervising children, assisting with homework, and leading engaging activities before and after school. Garda vetting will be completed after interview, with references required before start.

The position is part-time with on-site duties at partner schools. Hours include 07:50–09:20 before school and 2:00–6:00 pm after school, with location and schedules varying by

Qualifications

• Experience with school-aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting will be organised after interview.
• At least 2 written references required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Afterschool childcare assistant to help in Inch and Killeagh.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Bring lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.
