Job summary

Meta is seeking a Production Systems Engineer to join the Release to Production team. You will help automate health-critical processes for Meta's production fleet, diagnose complex system failures, and collaborate with hardware, data center and software partners.

Ideal candidates have a strong Linux background, 3+ years coding in multiple languages, and experience in production services. The role focuses on scalable, reliable operations and proactive tooling improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities across systems.
• Experience building and debugging production services in Linux environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders and document findings.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop tooling to automate health-critical processes for the Meta production fleet.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and root cause system failures with key partners to deliver solutions.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve tooling, hardware and processes.
• Develop SME knowledge in areas like Firmware Deployment, Edge/CDN hardware, or Diagnostics.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure reliable production operations.
