Job summary

STEM Recruitment Partners is seeking a Production Support Engineer (Shift) for a 12-month contract in South Dublin. The role involves real-time engineering support across a 24-hour operation and is based onsite with a 4-cycle shift pattern including days and nights.

Requirements include a third-level qualification in Mechanical/Process/Chemical/Manufacturing/Bio-Tech and 5+ years in Life Sciences/Pharma, with preference for experience in cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time engineering support to production teams across a 24-hour operation
• Troubleshoot processes and equipment (Formulation, Vial/Syringe Filling, Lyophilisation, Packaging)
• Document detailed problem statements, root cause analyses, and corrective actions
• Support and lead investigations on Non-Conformances
• Attend daily production meetings and drive engineering actions
• Address flow interrupters and reliability tasks from maintenance and engineering teams
• Ensure adherence to GXP procedures and regulatory compliance
• Support continuous improvement and implement change controls for projects
• Coach operators and maintenance technicians on equipment use

STEM Recruitment Partners are working with a pharma company in South Dublin that is seeking a Production Support Engineer (Shift) on a contractual basis.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers to support production processes in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

Contract: 12 months (with potential for long-term placement i.e. 2-3 years minimum)

Location: South Dublin (Full time onsite)

Shift: 4-cycle shift pattern (shift work, mixture of days and nights, required)

Rates: Lucrative contractor hourly rates available (Up to €55-60/hour DOE)

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Third-level qualification in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, Manufacturing, Bio-Tech, or equivalent
• 5+ years' experience in Life Sciences/Pharma. Experience within a cleanroom semiconductor environment is also acceptable.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a shift-based environment would be ideal, but not essential.
