Job summary

TOPPAN Security in Ireland seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee the manufacturing process, ensure smooth operations, and manage staff on the floor. You will plan, allocate, and monitor production activities, aiming for efficiency and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.
• Excellent communication, organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of production processes and Lean Manufacturing principles; scheduling/inventory software preferred.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the ROLE you will be in charge of overseeing the production process and ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. He or She also supervises staff to produce manufactured products, organizes and monitors workflow.

• Shift pattern – 3-day ,12-hour shift pattern split over 2 weeks. 1 week off during rotation from days to nights each month.

• Application Period – Immediate start available

Main missions:

• Participate in a dynamic system of risk assessment to provide a safe workspace for internal and external stakeholders




• Plan and supervise daily/shift production operations to ensure efficient and timely production of goods.




• Monitor production schedules and inventory levels and adjust them as needed to meet planning demands.




• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, determining priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reports to production management in timely manner.




• Communicate with other departments and teams to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues that may arise.




• Participate in recruitment of production operators, guides employees for efficiency in the production floor.




• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and implement necessary corrective actions.




• Ensure that equipment and machinery are well maintained and properly functioning to prevent downtime and delays in production.




• Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.




• Analyse production data and reports to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3+Experience in a supervisory role.

• Third level qualification or accreditation in an associated field preferable.

• Excellent communication, organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of production processes, Lean Manufacturing principles, and relevant software for scheduling and inventory management preferable.

• Proven record of understanding and achieving daily and weekly production output targets across various Work Centres.




• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable.




• Analyzing information and data with a problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical corrective actions as required.




• Excellent communication skills, including clear shift handovers, escalation updates, and cross-functional coordination.




• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people.




• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
