Overview

To manage and coordinate the shift activities of the dairy processing plant. To optimise the performance of the facility and ensure products are manufactured and dispatched to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the manufacture of products to the highest standards in the safest, most cost-effective, and efficient manner.
  • Fully utilising and harnessing the Production and Maintenance Teams' capability through effective leadership and processes that are consistently applied and accurately measured against the business objectives.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring consistent adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintaining and driving quality standards in process, people, and product.
  • Capacity planning for existing and future products.
  • Identifying and implementing Lean initiatives.
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Reporting and communicating effectively with the senior management team on an ongoing basis.
  • Assisting with the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies Required

Experience in a production role in a Food processing environment is a distinct advantage. Food Science, Process Engineering, or Production Management qualification, or equivalent, is also advantageous.
