Job description

My client is looking for an experienced Production Shift Manager to lead production operations within a high performing food manufacturing environment. You'll manage a shift team to meet KPIs across quality, safety, cost, and efficiency while ensuring compliance with all GMP and health & safety standards. This role also acts as support or cover for the Production Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shift operations to meet production and quality targets

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and GMP standards

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and employee engagement

• Monitor costs and labour efficiency

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Maintenance, HR, Logistics)

• Maintain systems and accurate shift reporting

• Manage and support performance, training, and development of team members

Requirements

• 2+ years' supervisory or management experience in food manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of GMP, health & safety, and quality standards

• SAP/MES/SCADA experience desirable

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Shift Pattern & Compensation

• 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am - 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off (rotating)

• 10-15% annual performance bonus
