Job summary

Cognex Corporation is seeking a hands-on Production Lead in Ireland to organize the build plan and coordinate staff in the Production area to meet customer delivery requirements. The role requires strong ERP literacy, ability to delegate, and proactive problem-solving to prevent delays.

This onsite position emphasizes continuous improvement and daily standups. The successful candidate will oversee shop orders, maintain documentation, ensure safety PPE usage, and participate in site 5S audits

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning and ERP reporting.
• Ability to coordinate and delegate build requirements from ERP data.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and 5S principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delegate build requirements using ERP reports.
• Highlight resource requirements to Production Supervisor to prevent missed deliveries.
• Follow up with owners of Production related interruptions to resolve within the day.
• Report operator performance issues to Supervisor.
• Initiate and participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
• Lead Production in Daily Standup Meetings.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the Production area.
• Maintain Shop Orders and Pick lists in line with production requirements.
• Ensure equipment and process area are cleaned and meet specifications; participate in site 5S auditing.
• Print labels required to complete batch documentation.
• Report deviations from procedures to area Production Supervisor.
• Ensure PPE is worn.
• Perform ad hoc duties as instructed by the Production Supervisor.
• Work overtime as needed.

Job description

This position is responsible for ensuring the Production Department operates with Company Policies and Procedures. The role will play a pivotal role in organizing the build plan and coordinating personnel within the Production area to meet customer Delivery Requirements.

• Delegate build requirements using information from ERP reports
• Highlight resource requirements to Production Supervisor to prevent any missed deliveries
• Follow up with owners of Production related interruptions to ensure they are resolved with in the day
• Report any operator performance issues to Supervisor
• Actively see ways to improve process through initiating and participating in Continuous Improvement projects
• Act as Lead for Production in Daily Standup Meetings
• Maintain a high-level cleanliness in the Production area.
• Skilled worker, with electronics background and qualification, advantageous
• Ability to work cross functionality within area when required
• Maintain Shop Orders and Pick lists in line with production requirements.
• Ensuring that all equipment and the process area is cleaned and meets the defined specifications, actively participate in site 5S auditing.
• Print out all labels required to complete the batch documentation, where necessary.
• Report any deviations from the procedure to area Production Supervisor
• Ensure that the appropriate personal protective equipment is worn.
• Ad hoc duties as instructed by the Production Supervisor.
• Work overtime as needed.

Core working hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with overtime as required.
