Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Cork is seeking an Aero Turbine Processor to join our aviation operations team. This role focuses on meticulous component handling, cleaning, inspection support, welding and blending of turbine parts, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will operate a range of machines (EDM, CNC milling, surface grinders), document inspection results, and assist Lead Hands in achieving production goals.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and collaboration in a manufacturing/aviation setting.
• Good basic education with numeracy and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in an industrial environment is advantageous.

Due to continued growth at our Cork site, we are seeking an Aero Turbine Processor to join the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Receipt and identification of components.
• Chemical cleaning of components.
• Carrying out inspection procedures and processes.
• Welding of turbine components.
• Blending of turbine components.
• Operating a range of machines and equipment, including EDM, CNC milling machines and surface grinders.
• Completing product process tasks in accordance with approved data (e.g. Opsheets and TPS).
• Complying with applicable quality system procedures, including process control checks, reporting non-conformance, policies, safety requirements, air cargo security, radiation safety and airworthiness requirements.
• Recording inspection results, tests, control checks, batch/run numbers and completed work to maintain accurate records, and verifying and maintaining component identification.
• Performing all tasks safely and observing good human factors principles.
• Assisting Lead Hands in achieving set goals.

Person Specification

• Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
• Good standard of education.
• Display an acceptable aptitude in verbal and numerical skills, as well as mechanical comprehension.
• Experience in an industrial environment would be an advantage.
