Job summary

Mergon Group is recruiting Production Operators for our Castlepollard plant in Co. Westmeath, Ireland. This temporary full-time role operates on a 4-cycle shift pattern, including day and night shifts and every second weekend.

You will handle packing, labelling, monitoring equipment and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for career progression. Full training will be provided and benefits include competitive salary, wellness and pension programmes.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience required; injection moulding / blow moulding experience would be an advantage.
• Good level of English communication and understanding.
• Able to work on your own with initiative as well as part of a team.
• Exposure to continuous improvement projects including Six Sigma training is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
• Perform regular quality checks on products to ensure standards are met.
• Pack and label materials/products accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify and report issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and use personal protective equipment as required.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Mergon International currently have opportunities for Production Operators to join our team at the Castlepollard plant in Co. Westmeath. This is a temporary full-time role operating on a 4-cycle shift pattern, with the requirement to work both day and night shifts, as well as every second weekend.

As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines. You will be responsible for a range of activities, including packing, labelling, equipment monitoring, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure smooth and efficient processes.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have previous manufacturing experience. Previous injection moulding /blow moulding experience would be an advantage.
