Job summary

Snap Midlands in Athlone is seeking an experienced Print Production Op to join our team. This hands-on role covers digital printing, print finishing and some wide-format production, with a focus on high‑quality output and strong attention to detail in a busy print centre.

We offer flexibility with hours: either full‑time (40 hours per week) or part‑time (~20 hours). Prior print production experience is essential; wide‑format and signage installation knowledge are advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus are essential.
  • Strong understanding and ability to uphold ISO, Health, Safety and Environment standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to run reports.
  • Fluent in English and hold a clean driving licence.
  • Desire to learn and take feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work docket instructions.
  • Print/finish jobs to the highest quality standard, flagging any potential quality issues in advance with the sales rep.
  • Update job progress on MIS (PrintLogic).
  • Pack and ship jobs (customer collection, courier, Snap delivery) when complete.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and maintenance logs updated.
  • Quality check parts in line with Snap and customer requirements.
  • Assist with the print, quality control, and packing of the parts.
  • Assist Management with the planning of production.
  • Assist Management and the wider team with storage/stock management.
  • Assist the wider Production Team as required.
  • Conduct final inspection of work to ensure customers’ specifications are met before delivery.
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy.
  • Carry out other tasks as required by management.

The Role

Snap Midlands, based in Monksland, Athlone, is looking for an experienced Print Production Operative to join our team.

This is a hands‑on production role covering digital printing, print finishing and some wide‑format production. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, has excellent attention to detail and is comfortable working independently within a small, busy print centre.

Previous experience within print production is important. Experience with wide-format print is an advantage, while signage installation experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

Working Hours

Full‑time or part‑time

We are open to considering both full‑time and part‑time candidates and can agree a working pattern that suits both the successful candidate and the needs of the business.

For part‑time candidates, we are ideally looking for approximately 20 hours per week, which could be structured across five mornings, three longer/full days, or another mutually agreed arrangement. For full‑time candidates, the role would be 40 hours per week.

This flexibility may particularly suit someone looking to return to the workplace, balance work with family commitments, or move from a full‑time print production role to a part‑time position.

Key Responsibilities
