Job summary

Catalyx is seeking a Production Manager to join our team on site in Longford on a permanent basis. This role has overall responsibility for delivering safe, efficient production aligned with quality, cost and delivery targets.

You will lead production teams, collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement and HR to drive improvements, manage planning, and embed a strong Health & Safety culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience leading sizeable production teams.
• Hands-on leadership presence on the production floor.
• Experience growing or scaling manufacturing operations.
• Experience with MES/ERP systems.
• Strong health, safety and quality knowledge.
• Desirable degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production across manufacturing activities, balancing labour, materials and capacity against delivery requirements.
• Ensure production targets, schedules and delivery commitments are achieved.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput.
• Review and improve production systems and processes for information flow and efficiency.
• Drive improvements to production systems to reduce manual or duplicated work.
• Develop and improve handover processes between Production and Engineering/Design teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality and other functions to ensure plans are achievable and materials available.
• Reduce delays and rework caused by production, engineering or material issues.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and SOPs in production activities.
• Lead and develop Production supervisors and frontline leaders.
