- Certificate or Diploma preferred, ideally in a related discipline
- Prior related work experience; ideally in a manufacturing, GMP setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and job-related computer applications required
Your Experience Should Include
- At least 5 years' experience as an operator on complex processes within a GMP environment
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role of a Production Co-ordinator within a GMP environment
- Recording and analyzing process data to inform decision making and recommendations
- Experience in writing/updating SOPs and Batch Manufacturing Records; rolling out training on operational procedures and training materials
- Experience in process development and/or commissioning where outcomes are less certain and there is a need for flexibility
- Handling hazardous chemicals/materials
- Experience operating with Safe Systems of Work including Permits
- Competent with hand tools and basic maintenance; desirable experience in continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodology (e.g., Kaizen events, root cause analysis, FMEA, Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of activities including dispensing, blending, equipment setup for plant tasks, filling/packaging of products, and assisting with loading/unloading of finished goods; support warehouse receiving/dispatch as required (work with the weighbridge system, liaising with drivers)
- Support safe, efficient, and effective operation of plant equipment and processes
- Operate mobile plant equipment on site as required (e.g., forklifts)
- Conduct plant checks and inspections, respond to alarms, carry out fault finding and first-line maintenance
- Role may involve shift work to support business volumes
- Previous experience in a similar GMP chemical batch manufacturing environment is advantageous; ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a busy factory
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations is preferable
- Good document practices in accordance with regulatory requirements while performing tasks
- Support Production Supervisor/NPI Production Lead and deputize as required
- Raise Deviations for non-conformances; lead investigations (FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Whys) and own CAPAs
- Raise Change Controls and own Change Control tasks
- Review Batch Manufacturing Records, Deviations, Protocols to ensure GMP/GDP compliance, accuracy, and timely completion
- Coordinate and lead the production team to meet SQDCP goals
- Champion safety and promote a positive safety culture within the team
- Work as part of a team to ensure optimum flow of products through production
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, Work Instructions, SOPs and GMP requirements
- Assist in drawing up and communicating production schedule plans – liaise with buyer/planners in Supply Chain
- Monitor daily performance and support the team to improve performance and escalate when appropriate
- Champion the Quality process within the team
- Work with Production Supervisor and People and Culture to develop cross-skilling and training documents
- Liaise with Quality department as required; manage sampling of lots and document accordingly
- Support Production Supervisor and team in ensuring 100% On-Time-Every-Time order accuracy
- Ensure production area is compliant with quality standards
- Support in project planning and future New Product Introductions when required
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Department managers to meet shared goals
- Deputize for the Production Supervisor when required
