Job summary

Adaption seeks engineers to build agent systems at the core of our product. You will turn customer goals into reliable, multi-step execution across real tools and services, operating under real constraints such as incomplete information and external failures.

You will own how agents plan, use tools, recover from errors, and improve over time, developing evaluation systems and traces to ensure reproducibility and reliability across complex workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production ML or backend systems.
• Strong understanding of agent design: planning, reasoning, tool use, orchestration, and memory.
• Experience with evaluation systems, tracing and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design agent architectures for planning, reasoning, tool use, memory, and external data integration.
• Improve reliability on long-running, multi-step tasks, including failure recovery.
• Build loops for agent improvement with real use and performance compounding.
• Develop evaluations to measure agent performance and resist gaming.
• Make practical tradeoffs between quality, latency, cost, and complexity.
