Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Expert based in Ireland.

The Product Expert will help developers, founders, and growth teams understand how a subscription monetization platform can support their business goals. This customer-facing role combines product education, inbound sales, technical guidance, and relationship building to turn initial interest into meaningful progress. The successful candidate will lead discovery conversations, deliver tailored product demonstrations, answer practical questions, and guide prospective customers toward the right next steps. Working closely with sales engineering, account executives, support, and other teams, they will ensure customers receive helpful guidance and seamless handoffs. The role also contributes to improving demos, resources, and internal processes by sharing customer insights and recurring questions. This is an opportunity for someone with strong product knowledge, curiosity about app businesses, and a proactive mindset to shape a growing function within a remote-first international team.

Accountabilities
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and lead discovery conversations to understand prospective customers' applications, business models, objectives, challenges, and requirements.

  • Deliver clear, engaging product demonstrations tailored to each prospect's needs, explaining relevant features, practical use cases, limitations, and onboarding considerations.

  • Translate product capabilities into actionable guidance that helps developers, founders, and growth teams understand how to improve subscription monetization and move forward with confidence.

  • Support straightforward product adoption by recommending next steps, sharing relevant documentation and resources, and following up to help prospects make progress independently.

  • Identify qualified commercial opportunities and connect them with the appropriate account executive, involving sales engineering for complex technical discovery, migrations, or solution design.

  • Recognize when inquiries are better suited to support, future follow-up, or alternative solutions, and communicate honestly when the product may not meet a prospect's needs.

  • Manage customer handoffs carefully by documenting goals, technical requirements, open questions, and agreed next steps, ensuring continuity until the next team member takes ownership.

  • Maintain timely, consistent follow-up across multiple conversations while keeping records accurate and commitments clear.

  • Share recurring customer questions, objections, and product feedback with internal teams to identify opportunities for better education, improved processes, and enhanced product experiences.

  • Develop and refine product demonstrations, playbooks, learning resources, and repeatable guidance that help the team address common scenarios efficiently.

  • Participate in live product demonstrations and educational sessions for customers and prospects, helping communicate product value to a broader audience.

  • Contribute to the development of the Product Expert function by helping establish effective practices for discovery, demos, follow-up, qualification, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Track progress through agreed measures of response quality, opportunity progression, customer adoption, and the effectiveness of handoffs.

Requirements:
  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of the product, demonstrated through professional experience, personal projects, or other practical use. The ability to explain and demonstrate product capabilities clearly is more important than a particular job title or career path.

  • Genuine curiosity about app businesses, mobile subscriptions, developer workflows, monetization strategies, and the challenges involved in building and growing digital products.

  • Clear, friendly communication skills, including active listening, thoughtful questioning, concise written follow-ups, and the ability to adapt explanations to developers, founders, and growth professionals.

  • Practical technical understanding of SDKs, APIs, subscriptions, and paywalls, with the judgment to recognize complex questions and involve engineering specialists when needed.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify promising opportunities, evaluate customer fit and timing, and recommend relevant next steps without turning every interaction into a sales pitch.

  • Strong ownership and follow-through, including the ability to manage several conversations simultaneously, maintain accurate notes, meet commitments, and ensure prospects receive timely responses.

  • Effective collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate smoothly across sales, sales engineering, support, and other internal teams.

  • Comfort working in a remote-first environment, communicating proactively, asking for assistance when needed, and maintaining meaningful working-hour overlap with customers and teammates in the assigned region.

  • Adaptability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn quickly, improve existing processes, and contribute to a growing team with evolving responsibilities.

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience building or launching an application using the product, including personal projects, side projects, or participation in app-building events.

  • Previous customer-facing experience through technical support, community engagement, teaching, product demonstrations, onboarding, or similar activities.

  • Familiarity with developer tools, mobile subscriptions, monetization technology, or products that combine self-service adoption with sales-assisted support.

  • Experience creating documentation, educational materials, playbooks, or process improvements that make information easier to understand and reuse.

  • Interest in developing a longer-term career in sales engineering, account management, customer success, or another customer-focused technical or commercial role.

A specific degree, job title, or minimum number of years of experience is not essential. Practical product expertise, sound judgment, communication, and a genuine desire to help customers succeed are the primary priorities.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation and equity: Access to a competitive equity package within a venture-backed, growth-stage technology business.

  • Extended equity exercise window: A 10-year window to exercise vested equity options, subject to the applicable plan terms.

  • Fully remote work: A remote-first environment designed to support autonomy, flexibility, and distributed collaboration.

  • Flexible time off: Approximately 4-5 weeks of flexible annual time off.

  • Coworking support: Funding for a desk at a coworking space.

  • Workspace budget: Financial support to help create a productive and comfortable working environment.

  • Continuous learning stipend: Dedicated support for ongoing professional development and skill building.

  • Career development: Opportunities to build expertise in product education, technical sales, customer success, and commercial enablement as the function grows.

  • Cross-functional exposure: The chance to work closely with sales engineering, account executives, support, and other teams while developing a broad understanding of customer needs and product strategy.

  • Meaningful ownership: An opportunity to help shape a new function, improve customer experiences, and contribute to the success of a widely used subscription monetization platform.
