Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and sourcing activities across CAPEX, Facilities and Engineering spend categories.
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities and Clinical teams to support objectives.
• Review, negotiate and manage supplier contracts.
• Develop sourcing strategies that deliver value and mitigate risk.
• Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure performance and service levels.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and procurement best practice.
• Support procurement projects across multiple international locations.
• Ensure commercial agreements align with business requirements and compliance standards.

R&D Partners is seeking a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to manage strategic procurement activities across CAPEX, Facilities and Engineering categories within a global life sciences organisation. This role supports stakeholders across Ireland, the UK, Belgium, France and New York, partnering closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities and Clinical teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and delivering commercial value across a complex international environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement and sourcing activities across CAPEX, Facilities and Engineering spend categories.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities and Clinical teams to support operational and strategic objectives.
• Review, negotiate and manage a broad range of supplier contracts.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that deliver value, cost efficiencies and risk mitigation.
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships to ensure optimum performance and service levels.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and procurement best practice.
• Support procurement projects across multiple international locations.
• Ensure commercial agreements align with business requirements and compliance standards.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Procurement Specialist, Category Buyer, Senior Buyer or Category Management role.
• Experience within the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or other regulated industry sectors.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and strategic sourcing.
• Experience managing CAPEX, Facilities and/or Engineering categories.
• Strong contract review and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of contract law and commercial risk management is highly desirable.
• Experience working with manufacturing and engineering stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating within a dynamic, fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience working across international teams and functions.
• €65,000 to €75,000 per annum.
