Position: Process Technician

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing processes as required.
  • Minimise Manufacturing Downtime by being proactive in terms of preventative maintenance of tooling, mandrels and moulds used in the manufacturing process.
  • Work closely with Planning and Shift Team Leader to minimise downtime on the shift of responsibility.
  • Ensure that work instructions, etc are maintained as per Quality System.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out according to company procedures, and that a high level of productivity and quality is achieved and maintained.
  • Know the manufacturing process in great detail, troubleshooting at an appropriate level and involving senior members of staff if/when they are not able to correct the problem.
  • Monitor and check the product quality and identify when the process is deviating from the norm and take action to correct it.
  • Keep equipment in good working order by performing regular inspection, cleaning, servicing along with routine and preventative maintenance to make sure the machine or process never breaks down.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all plant health and safety policies, including detailed incident and accident reporting.
  • Other duties may be assigned on discretionary basis as required by new developments or changes to the role.
