Quincy Medical Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Surgery & GI, to prepare patients for procedures and provide recovery care. You will work closely with surgeons, gastroenterologists, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifikationen

• Current Illinois RN license required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred or required within a set timeframe.
• Experience in surgery, GI, PACU, pre-op or post-op nursing preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform preoperative and pre-procedure patient assessments including medical history and readiness.
• Provide education and review instructions to patients prior to procedures.
• Initiate and manage IV access and administer medications within scope.
• Monitor vitals, pain, and recovery status before and after procedures.
• Communicate concerns to providers and anesthesia staff as needed.
• Provide post-procedure recovery care and discharge education.
• Document assessments, interventions, and discharge instructions in the EMR.
• Support infection prevention and regulatory compliance; maintain equipment readiness.
