Job summary

University of Limerick invites applications for a Problem Based Learning (PBL) Tutor Panel to support PBL sessions in Year 1 and/or Year 2. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to guide small groups and engage learners in case-based discussions within a medical education context.

Contract Type: Specific Purpose. Salary: €109.12 per hour, with a maximum commitment of 7 hours per week annually. Applications should be completed online by the stated closing date.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate understanding of and ability to engage in small group teaching activities, especially PBL.
• Ability to facilitate discussions and guide learners through cases in a supportive manner.
• Experience in health professions education or related academic settings is desirable.

JOB SYNOPSIS
The School of Medicine is seeking to appoint a panel from which tutors may be drawn to facilitate PBL sessions in either year 1 and/or year 2 of the programme. The successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of and ability to engage in small group teaching activities in general and PBL in particular.
