Job summary

Davy are seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join our Private Client division in Dublin. You will manage discretionary portfolios, analyse performance and risk, and work with senior teams to deliver client-focused investment solutions.

The role requires a strong quantitative background, Excel expertise, and programming knowledge (Python/SQL). A hybrid working model and a path to professional qualifications are offered.

Qualifications

• 3rd level degree or master’s in business, mathematics, finance, accounting or engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in quantitative research, performance measurement, attribution and risk analysis.
• APA Savings and Investments qualification or equivalent is desirable.
• Working towards CFA designation or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage discretionary client portfolios with client mandate and Investment Committee guidance.
• Conduct portfolio analysis focusing on asset allocation, performance and risk drift.
• Monitor and report performance and risk against internal/external benchmarks.
• Communicate drivers of performance to clients and advisors.
• Support Investment Committee with ad hoc investment analysis.
• Act as contact between team and Client Advisers on investment issues.
• Collaborate with Investment Strategy & Selection teams to ensure portfolio goals.
• Work with Portfolio Management Group on various projects.
