Job summary

AECOM in Ireland seeks a driven Principal Engineer (or similar Infrastructure Engineer) to join our 150+ strong transportation team. You will lead design teams on Roads, Public Transport and Greenways across Ireland, from concept to construction.

You will be mentored toward becoming a certified Project Manager, with formal training and opportunities to broaden client and project management experience, while enjoying flexible hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or similar.
• Chartered Engineer status or progression toward Chartership.
• Significant post-graduate experience in civil engineering, highways, rail, or greenways/active travel.
• Experience with design standards in the UK and Ireland (DMRB, LTN 1/20, LTN 1/24, NTA Cycle Design).

Responsibilities

• Deliver design packages on complex infrastructure programmes.
• Lead technical design teams from concept to construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to training and development.
• Support project management and work-winning efforts.
