Job summary

Key Talent Solutions partners with a leading Irish multidisciplinary consultancy to hire a Chartered Principal Project Manager for its Circular Economy team in Ireland. The role leads multidisciplinary civil and environmental design across waste infrastructure, landfill remediation and renewables, with hybrid work and national travel.

You will mentor engineers, manage budgets and programmes, coordinate clients and sub-consultants, prepare technical reports and tender documents, and support

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Chartered Engineer status through Engineers Ireland, ICE or equivalent.
• 15+ years of post-graduate experience in consultancy environments.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary design teams and budgets.
• Experience managing clients and sub-consultants and coordinating with regulators.

Responsibilities

• Leading civil and environmental projects from design through tender and construction support.
• Managing project budgets, programmes, risks and resources.
• Building trusted relationships with clients, regulators and local authorities.
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, specifications and tender documents.
• Coordinating engineers, planners, ecologists, geotechnical teams and specialist consultants.
• Supporting procurement, contract administration and construction-stage delivery.
• Mentoring engineers and helping develop future technical leaders.
• Supporting proposals, tenders, frameworks and repeat business.
• Maintaining strong quality, health and safety, and design-risk standards.

We are working with a leading Irish multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking for a Chartered Principal Project Manager to join its growing Circular Economy team.

This is not a generic construction Project Manager role. You will lead multidisciplinary civil and environmental design teams across projects involving waste infrastructure, landfill remediation, resource management, renewables, public realm and urban development.

What you will be doing

• Leading civil and environmental projects from design through tender and construction support
• Managing project budgets, programmes, risks and resources
• Building trusted relationships with clients, regulators and local authorities
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, specifications and tender documents
• Coordinating engineers, planners, ecologists, geotechnical teams and specialist consultants
• Supporting procurement, contract administration and construction-stage delivery
• Mentoring engineers and helping develop future technical leaders
• Supporting proposals, tenders, frameworks and repeat business
• Maintaining strong quality, health and safety, and design-risk standards

What we are looking for

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
• Chartered Engineer status through Engineers Ireland, ICE or an equivalent body
• At least 15 years of post-graduate experience
• Proven consultancy-side multidisciplinary design leadership
• Experience managing budgets, programmes, clients and sub-consultants
• Strong technical reporting and tender-documentation skills
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel

Experience in any of the following would be a major advantage:

• Waste and resource-management infrastructure
• Landfill remediation, aftercare or capping
• Leachate, landfill gas or contaminated-land projects
• Recycling, waste-transfer or treatment facilities
• Public Works Contracts, NEC, FIDIC or Employers Representative duties
• Environmental permitting, EIARs or Oral Hearings
