We are looking for a Principal Database Engineer, ideally with experience of automation to create the future with us. Oracle is a cloud leader that is changing the way the world does business, and the OCI Data and AI services organisation is hiring a Principal Database Engineer. The team you would join do critically important work supporting a large scale database estate that is used by all OCI services. Responsibilities:

1. Undertake engineering activities, encompassing project based work and routine operational support of a massively scaled Oracle database fleet.
2. Design, implement and maintain complex databases in adherence to uptime and security requirements.
3. Participate in an on-call rota, typically being on call every 6-7 weeks from 10am to 6pm for the week on call.
