About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Principal Lift Engineer with 10 + years experience to join our team in Dublin. This role involves the installation, modernisation, and maintenance of technical equipment, with a strong emphasis on fault-finding, interpreting technical drawings, and delivering work to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from mechanical and electrical diagrams to service, maintain and fault-find on a range of equipment.
  • Carry out detailed diagnostics and fault-finding independently and support others in doing the same.
  • Install and modernise equipment in line with company standards and within agreed timescales.
  • Consistently reduce repeat call-outs and provide reliable long-term fixes.
  • Maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard.
  • Promote and adhere to company Health & Safety standards at all times.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues as required.

Requirements

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Proven experience in fault-finding and diagnostics without supervision.
  • Solid understanding of materials, specifications, and fabrication processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and show initiative in problem-solving and planning.
  • Experience in leadership or project coordination is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Willingness to participate in training and continuous development.
  • Candidate must hold a Full Irish Driving Licence for this role
