Kerry Group in Naas is seeking a Principal Scientist to join the Enzymes Application Team. This high-impact role drives enzyme application excellence across the portfolio and shapes future opportunities in EUM markets.

The role focuses on maximizing value from the protease portfolio while exploring new markets and other enzyme classes, delivering customer-ready solutions through advanced design, analysis, and formulation work.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Food Science or related field; PhD preferable but not essential.
• Experience in R&D within Biotechnology or Food Science industry preferred.
• Experience with enzyme characterisation, including assays and analytical methods.
• Strong understanding of enzyme functionality in food, beverage, and feed applications.
• Ability to analyse complex datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Comfortable working across multiple projects and coordinating stakeholders to deliver results.
• GLP practices and analytical instrumentation such as spectrophotometry and HPLC.

Aufgaben

• Lead and support the development and delivery of next-generation enzyme technologies to market, guiding optimization of the existing portfolio for maximum value.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to develop new technologies for multiple EUMs, leveraging protease portfolio strengths.
• Generate and oversee analytical data packages that substantiate the technical value proposition and develop new analytical techniques.
• Lead design, screening, and optimization of enzyme systems through characterization, activity, stability, formulation, and kinetics.
• Lead analysis of complex datasets and deliver technical reports and presentations to stakeholders.
• Translate scientific insights into practical, scalable solutions for customers and industry partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Line Management, R&D, IP, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial.
