Job summary

Life Science Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Principal Design and Development Engineer for a leading medical technology company focused on next-generation heart rhythm solutions. You will drive NPD from concept to commercialization, lead technical initiatives, mentor teams, and collaborate across functions.

The role emphasizes DRM methods, CAD (SolidWorks), materials and process validation, and cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Third Level 8 Degree or higher in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience is desirable.
• Proven experience in medical device product and process development, with a track record of innovation and project leadership.
• Extensive engineering knowledge in areas such as: Concept development and selection, Technology evaluation, Process design and development, Materials (polymers and metals), Statistical techniques and process validation, CAD software (SolidWorks is preferred).

Role/Respomsibilities:

• Lead and support process development, characterization, and validation activities to ensure a seamless new product introduction.
• Engage in cross-site technical forums to build a strong professional network and define strategic technical goals in line with business objectives.

Key Skills & Experience
