Context

Due to continued growth in the Data, Modelling and Analytics project pipeline in Ireland we have a new opportunity for an experienced Principal Consultant – Transport Modelling to join our growing team, based in our Dublin office with the flexibility of hybrid working. The successful candidate will join a high performing Transport Modelling team providing strong technical guidance to both existing and new clients across Ireland. The Principal Consultant will focus on developing strategic highway, public transport and/or multi-modal models. With the support of the Modelling and Appraisal, Public Transport and Transport Planning teams in across the UK and Ireland, you will play a key role in delivering/managing projects.

Missions/Main Duties

Supporting the management and delivery of Data, Modelling and Analytics projects in Ireland. Becoming a technical expert in the application of the National Transport Authority Regional Transport Modelling system including the setting up and running of modelling scenarios and the extraction, processing and presentation of modelling results to clients and stakeholders.

• Act as a technical lead on various projects
• Execute tasks to quality, time and budget
• Contributing to the management and delivery of Data, Modelling and Analytics projects in Ireland. Becoming a technical expert in the application of the National Transport Authority Regional Transport Modelling system and TII National Models including the setting up and running of modelling scenarios and the extraction, processing and presentation of modelling results to clients and stakeholders.
• Taking commercial responsibility for projects/work packages (up to €50k revenue). Ensuring successful project delivery to time, cost, quality and other contractual requirements. Working with clients to understand ultimate objectives and desired outcomes for each project.
• Specify information requirements directly to the client
• Identify the information needed to deliver tasks
• Review the accuracy of Assistant consultants' analysis
• Stakeholder, client and cross functional relationship management
• Demonstrate thoroughness and judgement in analysing information and presenting conclusions
• Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in the application of a broad range of methods, techniques and tools
• Take responsibility for defined sections of SYSTRA reports. Ensuring successful project delivery to time, cost, quality and other contractual requirements.
• Working with clients to understand ultimate objectives and desired outcomes for each project
